The manufacturer of glass tempering furnace said that the residual stress in glass could not be completely eliminated. When tension stress formed in the center of glass at the initial stage of quenching, it was easy to cause glass rupture. Glass temperature can not cause serious deformation of glass, so the furnace temperature can not be set too high. It is suitable to be higher than the furnace temperature of glass 60 - 100 degree C. Because glass has the characteristic of infrared selective absorption, the infrared wavelength in heating furnace should be in the glass absorption range. According to the absorption spectrum of glass, it is suggested that the wavelength of large radiation in furnace should be about 3.0 micron, and the corresponding furnace temperature should be about 700 degree C.
Glass tempering furnace manufacturers said that the furnace temperature should be set in a reasonable range, can not be easily adjusted. The slight adjustment of temperature will have a great influence on the heating efficiency of glass. In actual production, if the glass outlet temperature needs to be adjusted, the more accurate glass temperature can be obtained by changing the heating time. The temperature of glass is between 600 ~630 C, so the temperature of most radiation heating furnaces is between 680 720 C.
Considering the relationship between stress relief time and temperature, the formation of temperature gradient during quenching and other factors, the temperature of thin glass heating furnace is slightly higher than that of thick glass heating furnace. With the widespread adoption of forced convection heating technology in glass tempering furnace, the furnace temperature of subduction convection heating furnace is set a little lower than that of general radiation heating furnace by 20 C, which is more conducive to heating off-line coated glass, and the E value can reach 0.02.
