Toughened glass can no longer be drilled and processed, and the whole piece will break into fragments. Toughened glass is actually a kind of pre-stressed glass. In order to improve the strength of glass, chemical or physical methods are usually used to form compressive stress on the surface of glass. When the glass bears external forces, it first counteracts the surface stress, thus improving the bearing capacity, enhancing the glass's own resistance to wind pressure, heat and cold, impact and so on.         Glass tempering furnace is a kind of equipment which produces tempered glass by physical or chemical methods, including physical and chemical methods. By heating flat glass and then quenching, the glass surface becomes compressive stress and the glass interior forms tension stress, so as to improve the glass strength and make the ordinary annealed glass become the equipment of tempered glass. Because this toughening method does not change the chemical composition of glass, it is called physical glass toughening equipment.

    According to the characteristics of heating mode of equipment, the equipment can be divided into forced convection heating tempering equipment and radiation heating tempering equipment. According to the structure and functional characteristics of equipment, it can be divided into combined tempering equipment, flat tempering equipment, bending tempered glass equipment, continuous tempering equipment, bidirectional tempering equipment, hanging furnace and so on. Chemical toughening equipment improves the strength of glass by changing the chemical composition of glass surface. At present, surface dealkali and alkali metal ion exchange methods are used. Because this toughening method changes the chemical composition of glass, it is called chemical glass toughening equipment.
